BUILDING PRODUCTS ANNOUNCEMENT - 2025 Tariffs Goods from the United States

To Our Valued Customers:

As of March 4th, and March 13th, 2025, the Government of Canada imposed 25% tariffs on imports of certain goods from the US. So far, only steel, aluminum and plastic roofing products and accessories such as fasteners and vents coming from the US within our product offering are impacted.

The government of Canada is also holding back tariffs on another roughly $100 billion worth of American goods that will be imposed should the US goes ahead with a third round of what it's calling "reciprocal" tariffs on goods from around the world on April 2. Most roofing products we currently import from the US would be impacted.

The list of products outlined at the tariff item level is available at the Department of Finance Canada portal.

Due to the expected impact of tariffs across our various product categories, material costs will increase, and Beacon will be adjusting pricing accordingly. We are committed to keeping you informed and supporting you through these changes.
